Thomas Flack Trust Fund Grant Report

On the 6th February 2018, Mole Valley District Council's Executive will be asked to consider the Thomas Flack Trust Fund Grant Report.

Mole Valley District Council is the trustee of the Thomas Flack Trust Fund, which was established in 2005 to offer funding for projects that will benefit residents of Ashtead, Bookham, Leatherhead and Fetcham.

Each year, applications are invited for projects which will provide permanent facilities for local people and to help assist the start-up of new initiatives. All applications are reviewed by the Thomas Flack Working Group, made up of Elected Members for wards in the North of the District.

The working group's recommendations will be discussed and grants agreed at the meeting on the 6th February 2018. This year, the Thomas Flack Working Group is recommending that funds are allocated to Bookham Community Association and to South Bookham Space Ltd.

Decision making on a property owned by the trust, 255 Guilford Road, Effingham is also proposed in the report ahead of the tenancy expiring in 2020.

Councillor Lynne Brooks, Chair of the Thomas Flack Working Group said, "Mole Valley District Council is privileged to be the Trustee of the Thomas Flack Trust Fund. Over the years there have been a wide variety of fund recipients all focused on benefiting local residents, who really value the funds and the difference they make to their lives."
