Affordable Housing Position Statement 2016
This Position Statement sets out the Council's current plans to deliver new affordable homes. It builds on the track record of delivery and takes account of the work undertaken by the Affordable Housing Scrutiny Panel in 2015 to improve the delivery of new affordable homes as well as forthcoming changes in government funding and national planning policy.
Strategic Housing Market Assessments
You can view the 2008 East Surrey Strategic Housing Market Assessment. A new Strategic Housing Market Assessment was undertaken in 2015/2016 (see 'Downloads').
Mole Valley's Tenancy Strategy 2013-16
The Localism Act 2011 requires each local authority to produce a tenancy strategy. A tenancy strategy is a plan that sets out how housing association homes in an area are let. It provides a framework for the type of tenancies housing associations should use and how long these tenancies should be granted for. Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) intends the strategy to make best use of the stock so that more people in housing need can be helped. This has recently been updated.
Homelessness Review and Homelessness Strategy
The Homelessness Strategy for 2015 - 2020 is available to view along with a list of those consulted (see 'Downloads'). The accompanying action plan sets out MVDC's five year plan to tackle homelessness in the district. This has been formulated from the Homelessness Review 2014 (see 'Downloads').
