Westcott Neighbourhood Development Plan
Westcott Village Forum has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for the village and surrounding area of Westcott. The NDP was publicised between May and June 2017, and an independent examination held in July 2017. The examiner recommended a number of changes to the NDP. Westcott Village Forum accepted those changes in September 2017 and requested that MVDC adopt the NDP. On 10 October 2017, MVDC decided that the NDP, as revised, met the basic conditions of soundness and agreed to arrange a referendum.

What happens next
MVDC has agreed to arrange a referendum on whether to adopt the Westcott NDP. Further information is contained in the information statement (see 'Downloads') and on the Referenda page.
The date of the referendum has been set for the 23 November 2017.
The referendum will ask residents in the neighbourhood area "Do you want Mole Valley District Council to use the Neighbourhood Development Plan for Westcott to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?" If over 50% of those who vote say 'Yes', the NDP will be adopted by MVDC.
