Upcoming Elections 2018

Mole Valley District Council is composed of 41 councillors and elections are held by thirds, which means that one third of the seats are subject to re-election in each of three successive years, with County Council elections held every fourth year.

The next scheduled District Elections are on 03 May 2018 for the following wards:

  • Ashtead Park
  • Ashtead Village
  • Bookham North
  • Bookham South
  • Brockham, Betchworth & Buckland
  • Capel, Leigh & Newdigate
  • Dorking North
  • Dorking South
  • Fetcham East
  • Fetcham West
  • Holwoods
  • Leatherhead North
  • Leatherhead South

Prospective Candidates' Evening

A seminar has been arranged for agents and prospective candidates for Monday 12th March. The seminar will commence at 7pm and will be held in the Council Offices at Pippbrook, Dorking.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide anyone interested in standing in this year's District Council Elections on 3rd May 2018 with information about the process. This seminar will provide an overview of electoral procedure including the submission of nomination papers and key dates. It will also cover information on the role of a District Councillor and Code of Conduct issues.
