Meals on Wheels (Leatherhead, Bookham and Fetcham)

On behalf of Mole Valley District Council, Elmbridge Borough Council provides a five day meals service to older and vulnerable people living in Leatherhead, Bookham and Fetcham who are unable to prepare meals.

The service can be provided on a long-term or short-term basis, depending on individual needs.

A meals service is ideal for people that are:

  • housebound and unable to shop for a main meal
  • at risk of malnutrition; not motivated to cook, or unaware of time and/or need for regular meals
  • looking to maintain personal independence

How to make a referral

To make a referral, please contact the Community Support Services Team at Elmbridge Borough Council on 01372 474552 between office hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Alternatively, you can complete an online form via the Elmbridge Borough Council website.

Cost of meals

The cost below is based on a Monday to Friday service (for residents living in Fetcham, Bookham and Leatherhead). The breakfast and supper service is delivered with the lunchtime meal and placed in the fridge ready for the next morning.

  • main meal and pudding - £4.80 (please note we do not provide a main meal only service to Mole Valley residents)
  • supper service - £2.90 
  • breakfast service - £1.60

Sample meals service

Main course - sliced beef and Yorkshire pudding or fish in parsley sauce
Pudding - rhubarb crumble and custard or cherry pie

The Meals on Wheels services aims to provide meals that meet the medical and cultural needs of customers.
